Now stand to the left of the next platform and use the monster to life you up, leaping free at the last moment. Now use one of the statue monsters to lift you up to the platform on your left, leaping free before it snaps. The fifth and final shard is at the end of the second grid. Run back and collect the fourth Shard to the left of the second grid. Run forwards, avoiding the statue foes and grab the third Shard on the far right down its own path. The second Moon Shard is on the far left-hand side of the first grid. They move quickly, but are slow to snap so you often have enough time to jump free. Beware of the square shadows moving on the floor, these are foes that will rise from the ground and snap you. Run forwards and collect the first Moon Shard. Run down the second right-hand cavern to enter the Hollow Crevasse. Run across it and collect the Moon (The Icicle Barrier) on the other side. This will make the giant icicle you're standing on to fall. When you reach the top level, run across the three ice locks, causing three different stalactites to fall. Turn right at the ice wall, and use the platforms and falling icicles to reach each higher level. Keep moving, avoiding the falling stalactites. Turn right and jump onto the next platform. Hit a Goomba twice to possess it, then follow the thin trail forwards. Look out for the round shadows on the floor, this will cause stalactites to fall from above. Keep moving forward, but beware of the slippery ice floor of the platforms. Take the first right-hand cavern and enter Icicle Cavern.
